Meet your local emergency service personnel as they demonstrate what they do to keep Northamptonshire safe at this year’s Community Open Day.
Free to enter, this year’s event will take place on Sunday, 16 August at Wicksteed Park from 11am to 4pm.
The event follows two successful Open Days held last year that saw teams from Northamptonshire Police, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Office of Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone come together at Wicksteed Park and Delapre Abbey.
This year once again attendees can expect to meet staff from across the three organisations alongside a range of partner organisations who will be on hand to answer your questions and showcase the vital work they do in your community.

Visitors will have the chance to explore service vehicles like the Joint Command Unit, take a closer look at specialist equipment, and speak directly with teams from across the services to learn helpful safety advice.
The highlight of the day will be the display arena, where Police, Fire and Cadets will bring their work to life with exciting live demonstrations to show off their skills, teamwork and equipment.
Whether people are considering a future career in the emergency services or just want to find out more about what they do – there is something for everyone.
Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone, said: “I am delighted that we are holding another Community Open Day this year.
“This is a fun way to continue breaking down barriers and let our public meet the police, firefighters and teams that work tirelessly to keep them safe.”

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service Chief Fire Officer Nikki Watson is pleased to have the opportunity to showcase the work of the Service again this year.
She said: “The Community Open days are a fantastic opportunity for our firefighters and staff to engage with our communities and show them what we do.
“I’m pleased that we can highlight all of our work again this year and strengthen the relationships we have with the people we protect.”
Chief Constable Ivan Balhatchet added: “Events like this are a great opportunity for us to speak and listen to our communities and show the wide range of work our officers and staff carry out every day.
“We are proud to serve Northamptonshire, and I encourage everyone to come along, meet our teams and see first-hand how we are working to keep people safe.”
