About Marianne Kimani

Marianne Kimani was appointed as Deputy Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner in July 2024.

Marianne has made her career within the health and social care management sector, where she has significant leadership experience.

A lifelong passion for justice and policing led her to serve for about two years as a Special Constable in Northamptonshire Police.    Marianne holds a degree in social policy and criminology and her most recent role, which she held for ten years, involved carrying out complex investigations – particularly around patient safety – in a mental healthcare setting and ensuring that families and patients were supported.

Marianne is committed to public service and public safety and will focus on being a very visible Deputy PFCC.  She will be supporting PFCC Danielle Stone in connecting with local people and communities to ensure their voice is heard.

Marianne believes strongly in the power of volunteers to make a difference and transform lives. She is a Youth Mentor through her church, supporting young people of faith or no faith to develop social and life skills that will help them become the responsible citizens of the future.

As Deputy PFCC, Marianne would like to help both Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service to build public trust in all the communities they serve and to support the recruitment and retention of staff from all communities. Marianne is keen to support reduction of violence against women and girls strategies.

Marianne lives in Northampton with her two daughters.
