Northamptonshire Cyber Security Forum

Cybercrime is the fastest growing threat to businesses within the UK.

The Northamptonshire Cyber Security Forum is a free-to-attend initiative designed to help organisations defend against cybercrime with practical advice, expert guidance and support.

Founded and supported by the Northamptonshire Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and Northamptonshire Police, the Forum offers a trusted and neutral environment where businesses can learn, share and prepare for the threats facing them.

Chaired by the Digital & Technology Delivery Manager, the Forum welcomes participation from a broad range of sectors – from IT and finance to healthcare, education and charities.

As an attendee, you will get:

  • Prevention advice – clear and actionable steps that a business can take to protect yourselves
  • Monthly briefings – updates on emerging threats and trends
  • Expert talks – practical sessions on a wide range of topics from GDPR, asset management to ransomware
  • Community support – ask questions, share experience and concerns whilst building confidence in a trusted environment

The NCSF meets monthly, either in person or online with hybrid sessions. Each session is informal but focused on knowledge transfer and raising awareness.

If you have any questions or would like further information, please email commissioner@northantspfcc.gov.uk

Every session adds value. From GDPR to ransomware to recovery planning, the Forum covers the topics that matter. We always leave with something we can apply in our day-to-day.

Cybersecurity Consultant and Forum Member

It’s like having a cyber security team without the overhead. As a small business owner, I can’t afford a full-time IT department. The Forum keeps me informed, gives me access to police insights, and it helps me take action – all without the jargon or pressure. It’s become a key part of how I protect my business.

Invaluable advice every month. The monthly session are full of relevant, real-world information. We’ve used tips from the Forum to trin our staff, improve policies, and reduce our cyber risk. I recommend it to every SME I meet.
