PCCs making a difference: Tacking retail and business crime

The work taking place in Northamptonshire to tackle retail crime is being featured in a national publication.

Retailers, business organisations, the local authorities and Northamptonshire Police have been working together to crack down on shoplifting and keep staff safe from violent and prolific offenders.

Two specialist investigators have been employed to be the dedicated link between retailers and Northamptonshire Police, working from within the Northamptonshire Business Crime Partnership.

They work with the dedicated Police Retail Crime Team and this joint working has led to better communication and strengthened ties, with the result that more offenders have been brought to justice.
