The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner was invited to a summer event to talk about women’s safety, organised by one of her leading Northamptonshire Women’s Charter signatories.
Greencore, who are Northampton’s biggest employer of 2,700 people, and make sandwiches and sushi for retailers, hosted their annual fun day on 18 July at Moulton College.
Danielle Stone went along to chat with staff about how they are supporting her ambition to make Northamptonshire the safest county for women, and therefore all residents.

Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) also joined the Commissioner to help employees fill in the Women’s Charter survey to capture what women want to see, and talk about community safety.
The Women’s Charter is Danielle’s call to action for organisations to show they are committed to making their female staff feel safe and create respectful environments where women thrive.
So far, 114 organisations – including businesses, schools, charities and emergency services – have signed up to the Charter.
These organisations pledge to meet Danielle Stone’s mission to halve violence against women and girls while taking workplace action to improve policy and amplify voices.
