Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone has spent time with local volunteers who give up their time to help keep our communities safe.

The Northamptonshire Street Watch scheme enables local people to take an active role in keeping their community safe by patrolling their neighbourhoods, identifying anything that looks out of place.

Volunteers go on regular patrols, engaging with local people and reporting low level crime such as vandalism and anti-social behaviour.

Danielle visited Kettering and went out on patrol with Kevin and Janet Marchand who look after the Headlands area of the town.

Kevin and Janet have been part of the scheme for over five years and were delighted to welcome the Commissioner to Kettering to highlight the work they do in their local area.
