Decision Record 309 Softcat Contract Aruba Network Switches
Decision taken
Following a compliant procurement procedure the decision has been taken to award a contract for the provision of network switches for Northamptonshire Police and Northants Fire and Rescue Service to Softcat PLC. The procurement exercise was undertaken jointly on behalf of both services to ensure economies of scale, value for money and product consistency. A network switch lets any connected devices (such as printers, computer and routers) talk together and share information. The Contract period shall be from 11th October 2022 to 10 October 2024. The total value of the Contract is £538,616.68 ex VAT which includes both police and fire costs. The contract value for Northamptonshire Police is £485,931.24 ex VAT and the contract value for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service is £79,685.44 ex VAT.
