NFRS Decision Record 142- Foam Treatment with Process Decontamination Systems
Decision taken
The decision has been taken to award a Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Contract for removal of soon to be non-compliant firefighting foam, chemical cleaning of foam pods and tank, and secure disposal of all by-products to Process Decontamination Systems Limited. The firefighting foam is used on fires which involve hydrocarbons and polar solvents, amongst other chemicals, which cannot
be extinguished by the application of water alone. The contract term is from 29/07/2024 to 30/09/2024. The Contract value is £104,071.80 excl VAT for the total works to be carried out.
