Our Commitment to Safeguarding

The Early Intervention and Youth Services work to the same safeguarding guidelines as all support services in Northamptonshire, using the Government criteria and guidelines set out in the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.

When a Family Support Practitioner or Youth Worker has a concern the child, young person or their family may need more specialist and tailored support. The Family Support worker or Youth Worker will discuss their thoughts with you and with their Manager. They will both look at the guidance in the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018. They will look to see which areas of support could be offered by other services. If there are concerns that without help, the child, young person, or family could be at risk of harm, a referral to Social Care will be made to ensure an expert has looked at the concerns to make sure everyone is kept safe.

Our commitment to safeguarding is why we come to work every day.
