I would be grateful if you could provide the following data under the Freedom of Information Act 2000:

  • Whether there is a scrutiny panel in existence in your area, and whether this is active

And if there is an active scrutiny panel in your area:

  • Who attends the panel on a regular basis
  • What the outcomes of the panel are, and how they are shared with the police and public.

I am writing to advise you that, following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information requested is held by the Office of the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

Yes We have separate panels for adults, youths and special panel which scrutinises our Domestic Abuse OOCDs.
and whether this is active Yes NA
Who attends the panel on a regular basis? 

 

Various police representatives, Office of Police and Fire Commissioner, Chair of Magistrates Bench, CPS For the Youth Panel, the Youth Offending Team also attends.
What the outcomes of the panel are, and how they are shared with the police and public Each case before the panel is assessed for its appropriateness and this is recorded. We publish an annual review on the PCC website each year. Where there is learning for the Force or the YOT this is fed back to officers involved in the decision-making process.  If common themes emerge these are address in Force bulletins.
