Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone’s Immediate Justice Team have been shortlisted for a national anti-social behaviour award.
The Team have been shortlisted for the Best Project Award at this year’s Resolve UK ASB Awards, which will bring together and celebrate initiatives and organisations from across the country that are dedicated to making communities safer.
The Immediate Justice programme sees offenders, who are referred to the scheme by police, complete reparative work in public spaces across the county after being caught committing low-level offences, often for the first time.
Immediate Justice shows residents that there are swift and visible consequences for anti-social behaviour, helping to rebuild trust and confidence between the public and police.
Police Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone said:
“I am proud that my programme has been shortlisted for this national award. The Team have been dedicated to making it a success and it is fantastic to see that acknowledged.”

The programme has worked with over three hundred and sixty offenders since its inception in 2023 and has made improvements to over eighty community spaces, parks and communal areas across Northamptonshire after partnering with local authorities to identify areas that could benefit.
Guided by four experienced specialists, the Team engages with offenders and encourages them to reflect on their behaviour and the impact it has had on themselves and the community. This approach has helped to reduce reoffending amongst those who have gone through the programme.
Being shortlisted for this award highlights the real impact Immediate Justice has had on feelings of safety in Northamptonshire.
The award ceremony is being held in Nottingham on February 26.
