An independent review by the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone is underway to examine the circumstances that resulted in the Chief Constable being found in contempt of court on November 20.

Northamptonshire Police is conducting its own full internal investigation, which will then be reviewed on behalf of the Commissioner by former Chief Crown Prosecutor Patricia Richardson and Deputy Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Marianne Kimani.

The review will be published once completed and the findings shared with the Police, Fire and Crime Panel. The Commissioner will hold the Chief Constable to account for making sure that this situation cannot happen again.
