Danielle Stone, crime reduction specialists from her office and partners have been working to solve issues affecting Eastfield, in Northampton.

This project began with a study tour, meeting with the Eastfield Residents’ Association and Friends of Eastfield Park, local people and businesses.

The study tour highlighted issues such as burglary, fly-tipping and drug dealing, particularly in the park, which was overgrown and had become an easy place to hide anti-social behaviour.

This led to Danielle, her team and Neighbourhood Policing working with partners to find and provide solutions to clear up the area and make Eastfield a safer place to live.

We spoke to Vic Smith from Friends of Eastfield Park, who shared with us how the improvements made to the park following the study tour have made the area a more welcoming, safe place to visit.
